Blanket size
Make a 10 × 10 tile swatch and divide its width by 10. Worsted with a 5 mm hook is about 1 in.
Your rows
- Rows 1–: increase on both sides (1 tile more each row), up to tiles.
- Rows –: increase on one side and decrease on the other, so the long side keeps growing while the short side stays straight.
- Rows –: decrease on both sides down to the last tile.

How corner to corner (C2C) works
C2C is worked in little tiles of three double crochet (US) on a chain-3, starting from one corner and growing diagonally. Each row adds a tile on both sides until the blanket is as wide as you want; then you decrease on one side (for a rectangle) and finally on both, to finish at the opposite corner.
Square or rectangle
A square has as many increase rows as decrease rows. A rectangle adds a middle section where one side increases and the other decreases, which is what the “Your rows” list shows for your size.
Picture blankets
Each tile is one square of a chart, so C2C is perfect for pictures and lettering. Turn your own photo into a chart with the photo to C2C pattern maker.
