How to Plan a C2C Crochet Blanket: Tiles, Rows and Yarn
Open the c2c blanket calculator
C2C (corner to corner) is crocheted diagonally in little tiles. With 1 in tiles, a baby blanket (30 × 36 in) is 30 × 36 tiles: 1,080 tiles over 65 rows. Our C2C blanket calculator plans any size.

Measure your tile first
Crochet a small square of 10 × 10 tiles and measure it: divide by 10 for one tile. Worsted yarn with a 5 mm hook is about 1 in. Type your size into the calculator and it does the rest.
Increase, then decrease
Every C2C blanket starts with one tile in a corner and grows by a tile on each side every row. For a square, you increase until the blanket is wide enough, then decrease to the opposite corner. A rectangle has a middle stretch where one side increases and the other decreases; the calculator lists exactly which rows.
Picture blankets
Each tile is one square of a chart, which makes C2C perfect for pictures and letters. Turn your own photo into a chart with the photo to C2C pattern maker.
